Overview
We are looking for a Junior Software Test Engineer to join our QA team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are keen to build a career in software testing and quality assurance. The candidate will work closely with developers, senior testers, and product teams to ensure our applications are reliable, user-friendly, and meet quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, user flows, and functional specifications.
- Execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile applications.
- Identify, log, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools.
- Perform smoke, sanity, functional, and regression testing.
- Re-test defects after fixes and validate outcomes.
- Assist in preparing test cases, test scenarios, and basic test reports.
- Collaborate with developers to clearly explain issues and reproduction steps.
- Follow QA processes, documentation standards, and timelines.
- Support senior QA engineers in test execution and release validation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques and test case writing.
- Familiarity with web applications and browsers.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL is a plus.
- Awareness of bug life cycle and defect tracking tools (JIRA/Bugzilla – preferred).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
